before we decided to try to roof ourselves, we got several quotes to get an idea of how much it would cost. for a 3,000 sqft roof, our quotes ranged from $6,500 to $11,000. the people wouldn't break down the labor + materials ... just kept saying that they didn't make any money on materials. after we took a trip to Home Depot to price out some of the materials, we decided that we could do.... with the help of our neighbor Marc and his partner Dennis. so here's the material break down.
$6,500 vs $4,300 ... saved us $2,200. yeah!!!!
