The goal for the month of August was to spend $1000 or less on normal everyday items: gas, groceries, eating out, clothing. So, how did we do? Not too good. As everyone knows "things" always seem to pop up, so I grouped the monthly totals in categories. the best scenario - total 1276.49 Gas: 339.56 Inspection & oil change: 81.14 Groceries: 368.95 Dining Out: 117.63 Pets: 168.67 Home Depot: 6.69 (smallest amount EVER!) Paint: 65.74 Mike-clothes: 86.62 Target: 14.69 Other: 26.80 above + "extras" - Grand Total 3364.08 Concert tickets: 82.00 K's career membership & exam: 270.00 Brianhead 2009 snowboard flights: 637.00 direct flights to Vegas - can't beat it! Airstream setup: 1098.59 this is just the setup cost: hitch, brake controller - doesn't include the actual cost of the Airstream! Goal $1000 vs ACTUAL $3364.08 I'd say that was just a little over - maybe next month we can actually hit the backboard!
